The roll is where your surface quality lives or dies. Diameter tolerance, crown, surface finish, and hardness uniformity all come directly through the roll onto your product. A roll that’s slightly off-spec is a roll that downgrades every coil it touches.
Mull Group manufactures new rolls from scratch — rough forging through final grind — and restores rolls through precision grinding, turning, and overlay welding. Our Roll Repair sub-service handles routine re-grinds and journal restoration; our new-build capability covers specialty rolls, backup rolls, and the obsolete OEM work that’s hard to source.
